Business Growth

Exploring Resources & Opportunities.  A think-tank that identifies critical business needs, and through their Guest Speaker series promotes business growth agencies, products and services in the region.  This group also takes the lead on planning events like the Annual Business Awards.

Government Contracting

Programs for large & small contractors to exchange information on the latest trends and regulations, and create mutually beneficial partnerships with local, state and federal agencies.  Programs include 6 Breakfasts covering a variety of topics, and two Matchmakers –when large contractors & agencies meet one-on-one with our small business owners. 

Policy

Through its Policy Committee the Prince William Chamber explores policy issues that have an impact on business in the region and empowers members to promote a strong economic environment for companies doing business in the Prince William Region.

Education & Innovation

Developing our workforce for today & tomorrow.  Facilitates partnerships between Chamber members, local businesses, educational institutions, and school systems through activities and events that are mutually beneficial. They include monthly Spotlight Speakers, and planning National Young Readers Day at elementary schools, Career Fairs at middle schools and for CTE (Career Technical Education) programs, and Speed Networking at high schools.

Economic Development

Ideal for members who want to keep an eye on commercial developments, opportunities to grow and diversify the local economy and assist municipalities with long-range planning. Meetings feature guest speakers.

Ambassadors

Ambassadors play a pivotal role in the success of our Chamber; building and increasing awareness, visibility & membership for the Prince William Chamber of Commerce.  They also help recruit new members while increasing retention by supporting and involving members in programs, events and opportunities provided by the Chamber.

Women’s Leadership

Connects businesses and individuals with preventative measures and services available to improve wellness in the workplace and overall health & quality of life. They partner with regional organizations by participating in health & wellness related programs; and support the Chamber’s annual Transitions and Frostbite Scramble events.

Hispanic

Develops partnerships with regional Hispanic organizations & Chambers through their Guest Speakers such as Telemundo, LULAC, HOLA, HOGAR, Homeland Security Immigration Services, to name a few.  They host a Chamber Business After Hours that features Hispanic business, and partner with the Virginia Hispanic and Greater Washington Hispanic Chambers of Commerce for an annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration.

Not-for-Profit

A resource to share information and grow NFP organizations through their Guest Speaker series on topics such as grant writing, managing board of directors, marketing on a NFP budget, finding skill-based volunteers, fundraising, and more. They also host round-table discussions and go on field trips to NFPs organizations to promote their missions. You need not be a NFP organization to participate.

Veterans

Collaborates with Veteran organizations and offices that educate, train, mentor and provide opportunities for employment of Veterans. Programs include a Guest Speaker series, hosting Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Seminars, attending Job & Career Fairs, the Annual Salute to the Armed Services event, and a Chamber Business After Hours featuring the Veterans Council. 

Technology & Security

The Mission of the Technology & Security Council is to make Prince William an epicenter of technology and security by engaging, enabling and empowering our businesses.

Council Initiatives:

  • Engage the technology and security companies by providing a place where they can come together to listen and share topics of interest.

  • Enable the businesses by providing an environment of learning and sharing industry trends and potential opportunities.

  • Empower the businesses and create opportunities through teaming and resource sharing to build a more cohesive and competitive business environment.

  • Drive the policy and infrastructure in the county to shape the future of Prince William as an epicenter of technology and security.

Tourism & Hospitality

The Mission of the Tourism & Hospitality Council is to maximize the potential of the travel and tourism industries in Prince William in order to grow our economy, to create jobs and to bring people closer together.

 

Council Initiatives:

  • Looking at travel and tourism in our county, it is key that the private sector comes to the plate in promoting cooperative programs, partnership opportunities and being the flagship for other arenas. Working together is paramount to success!

  • The Prince William Chamber supports the Prince William County Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism by being a conduit to promote their programs, events, facilities, and unique experiences to inspire travelers to visit the County as well as to engage our own residents.
